Hello everyone,

like the title says, I want to set appointments in the calendar to private. I have shared calendars. Therefore, I need to be able to set some invitations to private.

In Outlook, it's no problem to set an accepted appointment to private, but in Thunderbird, this option only seems to be available for appointments I have created myself.

Workaround: I right click on Event in Calendar and select convert to a Task which I can set as Private and then delete the original Event. If required you can then convert back to Event.

Clumsy but it works.

Thanks Toad-Hall for this nice trick. The downside of it is that if I receive an update to the appointment in any way, I would have to manually see though my calendar in order to adjust the converted invitation.

It's very sad, but like Firefox is missing some really crucial features Thunderbird is missing some as well. This renders another great peace of non-big-tech software useless for me.
