From no where, my colleague who sends me many emails each days, just stay on "loading". If i open it in "new Window" i can read. But it will not load in the first page in my thunderbird app.

I have cleaned my computer for more space, i have deleted all in my trashbin, updated the application, deleted thunderbird and downloaded it again but nothing works.

It is only his email that all of sudden doesn´t work...

As you can see in the screenshot, the umlauts are missing in many emails. Unfortunately, the corresponding fonts can no longer be set in Thunderbird; I use version 140.6.0esr (32-bit). Where can I set that ä, ö, ü, ß (...) are displayed normally? Greetings from Berlin, Markus

Suddenly TB stopped checking mail on time intervals set in the server settings. It does check mail at startup and when manually triggered. MacOs 15.7.3 MacBook pro M1

Hi, I'm Andrea, I'm writing because recently I have noticed problem with the status filter. When I'm creating a new filter and I'm appling a status contition, in the section where I need to decide the type of status doesn't appare anithyng ( view picture attached ). I know that nobody cares out there but I'd like to tell you so you understand why. Have used Thunderbird for quite a while. Recently, however, I have WAY too many mystery problems: server connections timing out or unavailable, disappearing emails, correspondents NOT getting my emails, me not getting their emails. I've had to reinstall and setup the program several times in the last few months. Each time, new problems. Really HATE to abandon independent developers/organizations in favor of commercial programs, but I need a app I can rely on. Gonna see how I do for another couple of weeks. Is there an app that can scan settings and flag problems? Program's getting fairly complicated. Remember Scotty, "The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."

Suddenly last week, the behavior of my Local Folders emails changed. Double clicking caused a reply-to default, not an open in a new window default. All sub-folders seem to have this problem even new ones. Right clicking shows a menu where New Message From template is the default. No other accounts have this problem, but Local Folders is my main email area. Flags show the Inbox as an Inbox, not a Template. Opening a new subfolder under Local Folders indicates that Local Folders is renamed somehow as Templates somewhere in the underside of Thunderbird. I see threads about recent All Mail issues, but this seems different. I have also tried JustAnswers but am unsure that the issue will be fixed with just redoing the Inbox folder. I have also tried the Conifg Editor to change the default right click menus as recommended in various help forums but to no avail. It looks like some part of Thunderbird is handling Local Folders as before, but other parts are assuming it is a Templates folder with Templates characteristics, which it is not. Is there something else I should try?

I had a desktop drive fail. While it was out for recovery I started using a different computer. About 5 weeks later, I now that I have the restored drive and its data from which I can restore the original profile with its address book, messages, and folder hierarchy. Will it possible to now import /combine the the email history from the second profile?

AS of 2 days ago can't send to a mailing list through gmail. Same address list exported and imported into Gmail address book works finne when sent directly from gmail via browser, windows 11.

Have server settings changed?

Hi, my Thunderbird calendar reminders are coming up 4 hours after the meeting.

Running Kubuntu. System locale/timezone OK, TBird set to use system time (though manually making it the same didn't help). HW Clock matches system time. Pacific/Auckland.

Tried exporting all my appointments and re-importing them - no change.

Thunderbird says this "the certificate for imap.supanet.com does not come from a trusted source". however I have used this email for some time and am happy with it . can I continue with this certificate as I do trust this source

My ISP, Plusnet, has recently migrated stored email to a new organisation called Greenby. From the day that Greenby confirmed that the migration was complete, no new email has appeared in Thunderbird.

They said that there was nothing to do, although I had to confirm some credentials such as username and password.

Clearly, there was something to do! How can I restart the download of email from my new Greenby webmail account to Thunderbird?
