linkedin My Network opens in a short square box in the top left corner of screen in fire fox win 7. what is the fix Not only this, when I visit Cell website to download research papers, the site is shown as text in vertical line only.

I have been using Firefox for years and years. The only reason I still use it now is that I am currently able to disable the AI features. I do not want AI in my web browser. I heard that the new CEO wanted to integrate MORE AI into Firefox and I am against this direction! I will probably not fund Firefox development again if they do this. I do not require a reply to this thread and will probably ignore replies. If I become aware of a better way to express my opinion to the CEO, I will also do that.

I just moved to a new Windows 11 PC from my Windows 10 PC. I backed up my Firefox profile and put it on a portable drive. I loaded Firefox on the new PC and then found the folder where the profiles are. I added the profile folder from the backup. Firefox has not found it and there is no way I've been able to discern to search for it.

I added the anti-virus after trying to set up Firefox.

Here are the particulars: Firefox version 146.0.1 (64-bit) Windows 11 Application Binary: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Profile folder: C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxx.default-release

How can I remove all my saved passwords from Firefox Sync? On my desktop, I went to Menu > Passwords > Three Dots > Remove all passwords, and they're gone. However, on my mobile phone, they're still there. So the sync functionality is borked. The question is, are the passwords still on Mozilla servers, or is just the sync to my mobile buggy?

Even if I were to delete my FF Sync account, for good measure I'd like to manually delete all passwords from it first though.

I can use edge and my speed tests perfect on speed test. If I use Firefox the upstream is half. I only have block installed but doesn't matter if I disable or not.

All of my bookmarks disappeared. I have followed all the step to restore from the profile folder and to restore manually. It works to a point, then I get an error message saying Firefox is unable to process the backup file (see attached image). I even tried it in Troubleshooting mode.

if Mozilla continues on its path of adding new AI features into Firefox, i am going to switch browsers. I stopped using chrome, i can stop using Firefox too. Nobody using Firefox needs more AI features. Nobody using Firefox needs a "modern AI browser", as there's already about 10 browsers filled to the brim with AI slopware. this is an extremely disappointing turn for Mozilla to take and I'm hoping they realize their mistakes before it's too late.

The title bar, etc. is this really obnoxious blue and I'd like to change it to something else. I can't find the answer to this anywhere, except for "try themes," except those don't work either. I imagine there's a setting in about:config.

I do not need or want AI. The vast majority of firefox users, many of whom transferred to get away from AI, would agree. What for, anyway? To name tab groups? How is that worth spiking the use of my CPU and power? I switched to firefox *years* ago for one reason: it runs much better than chrome and it was committed to privacy and such. I know there are options to turn off these and the other AI features but with the CEO's desire to make firefox a "modern AI browser" I fear it will only get worse. How long will it stay optional? I might as well leave now and get used to waterfox, before firefox becomes utterly enshittified and unusable.

Firefox is already running old Firefox must be closed. I have tried everything in the help menu. delete parent.lock , restarting etc. nothing is working. I can create new profile but i cant find any toolbar, bookmarks etc please help

I'm using a macbook pro, running OS 14.6.1. Firefox is my default browser.

For quite some time now, whenvever I'm attempting to make an online purchase, once my payment information is entered, it just hangs, and either takes as much as 10 minutes for the purchase to go through, or it never goes through, it just keeps spinning. This is the case regardless of what website I'm ordering from, and regardless of what credit card i use.

When I switch browsers to Chrome (which i prefer not to do), it all works seamlessly and immediately.

My Firefox browser is up to date. My OS is a little out of date, deliberately, because of many reports that the current update can actually slow things down. But in spite of this, I have no trouble with anything except trying to make a purchase.

Thanks to the new CEO of Mozilla moving on with the enshitification of Mozilla Firefox and deciding to shove AI-bloatware down the throat of your users I will cease supporting Mozilla vocally--in person and on social media. The greater portion of your users are not wanting the lackluster addition of any AI into the browser. A "modern AI browser" will become a lesser product overall and will only encourage your users to find a better browser.

And of course there's no "Contact Us" anymore. I don't even expect this to reach a human.

Firefox will become what all the other browsers are: a turd in an already filled sewer.

When I updated to Firefox 146 yesterday, the theme I was using disappeared and I ended up making a new theme using Firefox Color. I submitted it to the add-ons list and it has now been accepted, so now I am using it installed from the add-ons. Ever since I started using the new theme, even before installing it from the add-ons menu, my private browsing window is also using that theme. I want private browsing to use the default dark theme. That way I can easily tell if I'm using the private window or the regular Firefox window. However, I can't find a way to change a setting to go back to the dark window for private browsing. I've already checked about:config and browser.theme.dark-private-windows is set to true. I even toggled it to false and then back to true but there is no change. I looked at the settings for the extension Firefox Color, and it is turned off for private windows. I looked at the settings under the theme add-ons, but I don't see a setting there to turn it on or off for private windows. Am I missing something?

I am now on the very latest version, 146.0.1, and my private browsing window is still using the same theme as my regular window.
